Global AI Governance Framework

Governance standards for AI deployments across Asia and the Middle East.

Meinhardt Group's AI deployments spanned multiple regulatory environments. A single governance policy needed to satisfy Singapore's IMDA guidelines, Saudi Arabia's NDMO requirements, and Oman's TRA framework simultaneously, without creating compliance overhead that slowed deployment.

Mapped regulatory requirements across all active jurisdictions. Identified the common structural requirements and designed a governance framework that satisfied all three at once, with jurisdiction-specific annexes for edge cases. Published as an internal standard with training materials.

Governance standard adopted across all Group AI deployments. Enabled legal sign-off on agentic deployments across three regulatory environments. Referenced in the Group's annual sustainability report as evidence of responsible AI practice.

SME Takeaway

Four questions determine your AI governance baseline before any agent acts on your behalf: What can it do without asking you? Who checks the output? What happens when it is wrong? Can your staff still do this manually? The complexity is irrelevant. The questions are the same whether you are deploying across three jurisdictions or adding a single chatbot to your business.

Governance Framework

Four-Question AI Governance Baseline

The four-question diagnostic used to establish an AI governance baseline before any agentic system acts on behalf of an organisation: What can it do without asking you? Who checks the output? What happens when it is wrong? Can your staff still do this manually? Includes the decision matrix for answering each question and the control structures required for each combination of answers.
